Analyzing in depth and judiciously the Theory of Reincarnation as it has been presented in these times by various PSEUDO-ESOTERIC and PSEUDO-OCCULTIST thinkers, we come to the conclusion that all these authors are totally confused.
The doctrine of reincarnation originates from the cult of KRISHNA, which is an ancient Vedic religion. Unfortunately, this sublime doctrine was greatly adulterated by so many REFORMERS.
In the Krishna cult, it has been wisely stated that only the Gods, Demi-Gods, Heroes, Titans, Divine Kings, Masters, and GUIDES of humanity REINCARNATE. But the various schools of PSEUDO-ESOTERIC and PSEUDO-OCCULTIST type mistakenly spread the idea, telling the masses that every human being reincarnates.
Alongside the idea of REINCARNATION, there exists in Hindustan the idea of the TRANSMIGRATION of SOULS—the RE-INCORPORATION of HUMAN SOULS into ANIMAL creatures.
It is clear that human PRIDE is terrible, and, quite naturally, the THEORY of the TRANSMIGRATION of souls was not accepted in any way, considering this idea to be a distortion or alteration of the wise doctrine of REINCARNATION.
JESUS THE CHRIST in the Four Gospels emphasizes the difficulty of entering the KINGDOM; the GREAT MASTER never said that all human beings would enter the KINGDOM. Here, the Law of Natural Selection comes into play:
For many are called, but few are chosen – Mathew 22-14
The whole human species, with the exception of a few, enters the Infernal Worlds, where it ends with the Second Death. This event is always repeated in all the WORLDS of infinite space.
We already said that only through the Second Death are the Lost Souls of the Infernal Worlds liberated.
The Law of Eternal Return always brings back the FAILED SOULS that lived in the Sub-World and passed through the Second Death, into a new COSMIC manifestation.
The LAW of ETERNAL RETURN underpins the DOCTRINE of TRANSMIGRATION; millions of FAILED SOULS from past cycles of MANIFESTATION are now ELEMENTALS of the Mineral or Vegetable Kingdom, and ANIMAL CREATURES that aspire to REGAIN the HUMAN STATE they once lost.
The wise IDEA OF THE ETERNAL RETURN of all things is invariably linked to Pythagorean wisdom and to the Sacred COSMOGONY of Hindustan.
All DOCTRINE concerning the LIFE of BRAHMA, the MAHAMVANTARAS and PRALAYAS, the KALPAS, the BREATH OF BRAHMA, etc., are intimately aligned with the DOCTRINE OF PYTHAGORAS and the LAW OF RECURRENCE OR ETERNAL RETURN.
An in-depth analysis of Buddhism leads us to the conclusion that the Buddha taught the LAW OF ETERNAL RETURN OR RECURRENCE in his doctrine of successive lives.
Simplicius, quoted by OUSPENSKY, writes:
“The Pythagoreans said that the same things repeat again and again.”
In connection with this, it is interesting to observe the words of EUDEMO, disciple of Aristotle (in the third book of Physics). He says:
“Some people accept and others deny that time repeats. Repetition is understood in various ways. One kind of repetition may occur in the natural order of things, like the repetition of summers, winters, and other seasons, in which a new one comes after another has disappeared; to this order of things belong the movements of celestial bodies and the phenomena they produce, such as solstices and equinoxes, which are caused by the movement of the Sun.”
“But if we are to believe the PYTHAGOREANS, there is another kind of repetition. That means I will speak to you and sit exactly like this and hold the same stick in my hand, and everything will be just as it is now, and time, as it is assumed, will be the same. Because if the movements (of celestial bodies) and many other things are the same, what happened before and what will happen after are also the same. This also applies to repetition, which is always the same. Everything is the same.”
To the Law of Recurrence so magnificently presented by EUDEMO in the preceding paragraphs, we only need to add the Spiral, which according to Pythagoras is the curve of life.
Time is circular, and everything repeats either on higher SPIRALS or on lower SPIRALS.
The incessant repetition of the same DRAMAS, the same SCENES, the same EVENTS in each of the ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHT lives that are always cosmically assigned to human SOULS is both fascinating and painful.
Each LIFE is a repetition of the previous one plus its KARMIC consequences, whether good or bad, pleasant or unpleasant.
A man dies, and the anguishing moments of his agony, his last instants and realizations, his last sensations and sorrows, are intimately linked with the pleasures of love that give rise to a new birth.
The new life begins under exactly the same conditions as the previous one, and it is clear that it cannot begin under any other condition.
When REBORN into this VALLEY of TEARS, the past becomes the future in accordance with the Law of Recurrence.
The INTELLECTUAL ANIMAL wrongly called MAN cannot change circumstances; he is a victim of them. Everything happens to him as it does when it rains or when it thunders; he has the illusion that he DOES, but he has no power to DO—everything happens through him.
Only the BEING can DO. Only the BEING can originate new circumstances. Only the BEING can change this entire order of things. But the INTELLECTUAL ANIMAL does not have the BEING INCARNATED.
In this VALLEY of SORROWS exist MACHINE-MEN of ABSOLUTE repetition, one hundred percent MECHANICAL types, individuals who REPEAT even the most insignificant details of their previous lives.
In this Valley of JEHOSHAPHAT, in this land of Samsara, certain individuals of varied repetition constantly RE-INCORPORATE, reliving their past lives either on higher SPIRALS or on lower SPIRALS.
There also exists in our fascinating world a certain type of people with a growing tendency toward DEGENERATION, who resolutely march down the DESCENDING SPIRAL path. These are the DRUNKARDS, SUICIDES, HOMOSEXUALS, PROSTITUTES, DRUG ADDICTS, THIEVES, MURDERERS, etc. This class of people repeats their same crimes in ever more degenerate forms in each life until they finally enter the INFERNAL WORLDS.
In apparent and brilliant contrast to this descending or failing path—but in an equally ABOMINABLE position—are the gentlemen of HIGH SOCIETY, the GREAT SUCCESSFUL ONES who worship the GREAT HARLOT; the MILLIONAIRES and MULTI-MILLIONAIRES, the wicked SCIENTISTS who invent destructive weapons; the dark followers of MATERIALIST DIALECTICS who rob humanity of ETERNAL VALUES; the FANATICS of sports, the great competitors, the BOXERS, the vain record-breakers, the COMEDIANS who play with the MONSTER of A THOUSAND FACES; the famous MOVIE STARS who justify all their adulteries with countless marriages and divorces; the degenerate ARTISTS of the NEW WAVE, Painters, Rock Dancers, of the TWIST, the MAMBO; the founders of harmful SECTS, writers of pornographic books, skeptics of all kinds, etc., etc.
The SUCCESSFUL TYPE is HYPNOTIZED by success, and that is precisely their greatest danger. They are unaware that they are descending the spiral and enter the infernal worlds intoxicated by their triumph.
The successful type knows exactly what to do each time he RETURNS to this world stage and always repeats his same adventures.
The INVOLUTION of all these people in the INFERNAL WORLDS is due to the LAW OF RECURRENCE. In the ABYSS, all those ANIMAL, VEGETAL, and MINERAL processes that we once experienced in an EVOLUTIONARY manner are repeated INVOLUTIONARILY.
The FINAL DISINTEGRATION in the SUB-WORLD is necessary and indispensable to liberate the LOST SOULS. These, after their horrifying millennial journey through the Sub-World, RETURN to a new MANIFESTATION that must begin from the lowest rung, which is the Mineral Kingdom.
